| About Rickshaw Stop In a town where a reasonably-priced drink, plate of food or event space can be hard to find, the Rickshaw Stop is welcome to an overwhelming degree - it provides all three, with an abundance of space and style and zero pretension. Operating as a bar as of early January 2004 on Friday and Saturday nights until 1 am, Rickshaw Stop serves cocktails, wine, and inexpensive beer as well as tasty small and large plates for noshing that hover between $4 and $7. An old television production studio, the two-level space is tall and doublewide, ringed with red velvet floor-to-ceiling drapes, floored with warm-blonde, finished plywood, and furnished with gorgeous old rickshaws and a scattering of infinitely moveable tables and chairs of various styles. Swell lighting, a foozball table in the large upper balcony lounge, friendly owners, and an intelligent clientele round out the appeal of the place. - Tracie Broom Hours Sunday: ClosedMonday: Closed Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 5 pm - 12 midnight Thursday: 5 pm - 12 midnight Friday: 5 pm - 2 am Saturday: 5 pm - 2 am |

Editorial Review Amplifier SF Station Blows It Up By Misha Vladimirskiy (06/23/2006)" With the roar of the crowd and the beat of the drum the Artic Monkeys hit the stage at the San Francisco’s famed Warfield. These kids from Sheffield, England are the talk of the music world, with their simple lyrics and infectious instruments. This night was no different -- kids screamed and the Monkeys played. I personally can't relate to the lyrics but understand why others can so that’s why these kids are a band to watch in the coming years. " |
Editorial Review Loud*Live*Local April 17th to April 30th By matthew thayer (04/15/2005)" Lots and lots of great bands are heading into town on the coattails of Coachella. Plenty of great bands call the Bay Area home. Many are performing to help you spread the wealth of your refund. I will let the music speak for itself. " |
